Spoling question about models.

Postby super-panda » Sun Nov 09, 2008 4:05 pm

Is there no female models in the game? Gsc gameworld sayed sometime or their website something that made me thought they will introduce women in the game, but I haven't seen them yet. (Don't spoil me if there is some)

If not, will it be possible for dezowave team to add some? Or will it be too hard?

All Mercs and Monolithians in Exo-Skeleton armor are females.

Well, prove me wrong. :P

For that matter they could be Orang Utans, Daleks or King Arthur's knights.

Ever seen one take 'its' helmet off?

Could be almost anything in there.

But I reckon that's how women are getting into the Zone - disguised in Exo armor.

Mind you, I met one once that was a serial killer. I'd leave him with one or two others in 'Skull's Barn' in AW. Next time I came back he'd still be there, but the others were just corpses. Must've been a good 30 or more victims - and if it wasn't the whatever in the Exo suit doing the killing, how come the real killer missed him every time?

Although, if you think about it, both Marked One and Lt. Priboi Slipchenko are in the same bracket as serial killers. They're mass murderers, only sociopathic instead of psychopathic.

But yes, all Exo-suited stalkers are women in disguise. Either that or they're all Llamas on holiday from Peru, and that's just too ridiculous to accept.

Hey red shuart, I really don't know where you take that from. Where you writing while you were dreaming, or only totally drunk?

Anyway, would you care to explain why, in the case that they are female, they have male accents? Are they transexuals? In fact, I only talked about it because I thought that having females in the games (and not only at the shitty or I'm beautifiul roles) would make some diversity. But it seem there is noone.

Then, is it possible for dezowave team to create some?

Finally, well, overall, in most violent video games, you are killing enought ennemies to be considered as a nuclear bomb yourself, considering also that most of the time, your "allies" aren't really helping you.

The attacks in clear sky of groups are great! It's so nice to see it, BUT, I would like to see that more often, because, it's supposed to be the zone, a extremly dangerous warzone, and not a resting place, which most npc's seem to do most of the time, doing nothing. Damn lazy russians.

The male voices from exo-suited women are just part of the disguise. Exo suits are effectively space suits, so you couldn't just hear someone speaking from inside. The suit has a voder circuit that can be adapted to produce the clicks, buzzes and whistles that human speech is made up of in any combination, so they can have any voice they want.

As to stalkers 'resting' in a warzone, well, ask any soldier with combat experience - war is long weeks of boredom with scattered 10 minute periods of absolute terror.

In comparison to real war stalkers do quite well. In a real war there is usually an average of thousands of rounds fired for every dead combatant. Stalkers manage with an average of 10 or so rounds per corpse.

Damn lazy russians
it's quite wise and lightning-fast of me to comment on it three years after it has been posted but WHAT THE **** DO RUSSIANS HAVE TO DO WITH STALKER??? :axe:
Guys, are we speaking of mod here or what? I've installed some mod once and merc's suit in it had Russian tricolor flag on it's shoulder. And now posts of this kind make me wonder WHY people want to associate STALKER and Chernobyl with Russia?...

With all due respect to all of you outside CIS and former USSR - please try to understand that SoC, CS and CoP storylines are based in Ukraine and "Russians" can make only some very specific part of the total in-game characters - like some part of mercs really or some other guys who crossed several state borders and the Zone perimeter on purpose...

Oh dear...
I never said "the game is FOR someone". Or did I? Please quote me saying "this is the game for Ukrainians only", but in private message.

What I am trying to find out is why people associate the story, the in-game locations, the in-game characters with Russia.

For sure, as soon as the game is released it is meant for anyone to play it. For sure, the original and actual disaster happened in Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, to be more precise - in Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (both are USSR, hehe...). For sure, at that point of time, the entire non-USSR world made no difference between Ukrainians, Russians, Belarus, Kazakhs, Georgians, Armenian etc. - they were all "Soviet" or "Russians" (I hope the Russians love their children too (c) Sting). For sure, for most part of the world they all remained Russians or post-soviet after USSR broke up.

But!

It's time to see things changed. It's time to be more attentive to the plot of the game you play, to the geography it involves, to the chevrons of military you meet in the game or emblem on the UAZ vehicles you find.

If the game would be based on events and geography of Kursk Magnetic Anomaly (as example) - I would never started posting things like that. Because Kursk is Russia. But Chernobyl is Ukraine. :bear:
