Corrected. For the voice acting, I didn't meant it that way. Sure that I made an error between russian and ukranian, as I don't know anything about them, I can't really make a difference, and say what is what.
What I meant, is that it was a huge thing for the atmosphere. I mean, if for example there is a video game in france, and that the non playing characters speak english, russian, chinese, while they are supposed to use french, doesn't make sense. I mean, there is alsmost none other video game that made the effort of making this localisation feature.
It's true it's a complex problem, because if they are talking in a language that you don't understand, it's a problem, so like I sayed, you should be able to hear important things with the help of another character that would translate, that the protagonist doesn't talk well and have an accent, or a mechanized tool to translate ,using subtitles etc.., but in battle, they don't want that you understand what they say, so they will talk their language. Or when they are taunting, joking,etc...
I mean, if in the game, the protagonists supposed to talk russian/ukranian, use french..it quite broke the atmosphere.
Though that feature isn't as much interesting for those who know russian, so maybe changing the protagonists into foreigners might do it. But it would require two games, so I doubt it will ever be made.
But the video really really broke my dreams, they seem to have focused on graphics and things like that.
