SHOC Modding

I must ask an question for SHOC modding. We are Turkish S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fans and we want create an new small mod package. We will write a different story for game. (Like Priboi Story) And I want to help for this modding job. Where we will start?

greetings, we dont have much time, and not sure what is good for starting, but here are some stuff we use or used:

And if you want to go deeper and deeper:

3DS MAX 8 and plugins, i cant give link for max8, but plugins here: ... tit&lid=98

there is a plugin pack (beta, but might work) for max 9, 2008, 2009: ... it&lid=350

if you use maya, then:

for maya 2008 xray .object import/export plugin: ... it&lid=347

the same but for maya 2009: ... it&lid=349

for maya 8.0 and 8.5: ... it&lid=379

if you use milkshape 3d 1.8.4, then plugin is here: ... it&lid=377

xray sdk 0.4 with updates here: ... -SDK.shtml

updates: ... it&lid=361

xrai for adding your maps to singleplay: ... it&lid=376

a converter to convert back the stalker levels into sdk format. not necessary, its only needed if you want to play with them, edit them ... etc: ... it&lid=348

its a big asset pack, but has a converter.exe, and ini files + readme, so all will be clear

They don't keep us update becouse the advices and instructions were not full enough. The instruction to modmaking ought to start from: "Buy a computer!"

Gubr, modding is easy to say, but since you don't gain money from it...

You really need to have a mind set for that.

I need to make script which will spawn item to actor's ruck when actor use item. Like i ate konserva and epmty konserva pack appeared in my backpack :)

I expect that script will have lines like:

if db.acor.use konserva then
"spawn to ruck function" item konserva_emtpy
else return nil.

Please help. Write here full script code for checking actor using something and spawning item to actor's backpack :)

I don't think there is any icon for an empty 'konserva' - you'd have to design and build one from the ground up.

Dez and the team are currently working on their Lost Alpha mod, so I doubt they have the time to write custom scripts. You'll have to work that one out for yourself. That's modding.
