I've managed to work the pirated version of the game. Don't say anything, I'm gonna buy it when it's out, I just can't wait for it. Besides, the pirated versions runs better. I bought the previous stalkers, still, I'm using the pirated versions.
The game is full russian. Some guys has made an early translate mod for it with google translate. Not always easy, but usable.
In short: I like it. The first impression was "it's so cheap". There's some movies at the beginning and at the end - Priboi style. Plain pictures narrated (in russian), no fancy 3d renders. The funny thing is I like it more this way.
There's some in-game movies too, made with the game engine. Literally. A funny bug appeared during such a movie. I'm finished a task, I saw some dogs around, but I was thinking I'm finishing a job, and then taking care of them. Well, I did the job, the movie started, and I had to see myself raped by the dogs, with some russian narration about the finished task :)
The gameplay is very-very Priboi style. Feels much more free. There's some "go there, pick up that" tasks, but a lots of the tasks is just "do something, I don't care how". For example, one of the tasks needs you to make a team of stalkers, and to get an armor with closed breathing system. You don't know where to find guys who are willing to go with you, neither where to find a proper suit. So it's fun.
The Zone seems more hostile BTW. Can't tell you why is that, no new enemies, no more of them then before... I just feel this way.
The weapons crapping out a little bit too easy in my taste. And hard to find the tools for upgrades. Good thing is that military guys repairing them for free.
I'm finished the main story yesterday after some 6-8 hours. I've missed a lot of fun, but now I'm gonna make them up in the freeplay :)
Almost forgot an important thing: not a single crash so far!
