Problem with codes

Hi,

I found a document with code 781597## and it says that it is a code from secret place near red forest but two numbers are missing. I also found convoy document with x=3, and in the red forest (where is 2 dead scientist bodies) i found y=8 in scientist PDA. So I suppose the code is 78159738 or 78159783 but non of them opens the bunker near red forest, where are two dead scientists. Why? :cry:

I think it could be the wrong door...
You could glance at the "official gameguide" which should be able to be downloaded somewhere in that forum...

The guide was't useful. I found the same documents that according the guide I should find to open the secret door behind the sniper. Krugov's genetics, first chopper convoy report and code in dead scientist PDA. However codes in guide and my game are different. In guide Krugov's genetics - 578791## and in game 781597##. Maybe different version. :|

X=3 is correct. But I'm pretty sure that there was an error with the last part and, though the clue says 'y=8', I think that it is actually 'y=6'.

Yes. Thanks y=6 opens the door, but in the document it is y=8 in the document. It must be some kind of error. :!:

This is something that came up on the old forum shortly after PS 1.1 was released. I'm sure one of the fixes puts it right.

By the way there could I buy PKM Machine gun ammo? I've found one in the Freedom base, but there are no ammo. :?

I have other problem with codes. Now in Lab X10, there is the secter door near brain scoher controls. According to clue code should by - 022138, according to guide the same but no one fits. Also I tried code from version 1.0 (I have 1.1.) 831220. Doesn't open as well. :shock:

There are two similar doors in X10. Could you be trying it on the wrong door?

It isn't the door where there are three breakable crates opposite. The one for the code is deeper inside. In SoC I think you get the door code for that one from a Monolithian - there are grenades and 5.56ap ammo in there. As well as the document in PS 1.1

I think PKM ammo becomes available from Colonel Petrenko after you've been to Pripyat. I can't be certain of that. Possibly other traders will have it beyond that point, too.

that code is required for an other door down there :)
