Priboi Story Second Patch Announcement:


Ok, we released the total conversion project two weeks ago, and as from the reports, more than 70.000 ppl downloaded the project. It was on first page at almost every stalker fan sites, included on some pc gamer magasine dvds, and also still available on torrent, or direct download almost everywhere.

The fixes and new features that will be in the new patch:

- Fixed the blowout spawnings, now you wont see hordes of zombies near the levelchangers in army warehouses...
- Fixed blowout spawning, now you wont find artifacts out of the level borders...
- When the blowout starts, you will hear the spooky sound for 2 minutes, before the real madness happens and the hideouts will be marked on the map
- The warzone was fixed in Bar. Now the mercenaries, bandits, and freedomers will randomly attack the area, and you can help the dutiers and stalkers to fight off the enemies
- Some cool coop missions with npcs, like at Agroprom, since many users said its a bit too hard if you are alone
- Now if you change level during the blowout, or reload a savegame the game will remember to the blowout, so you cant bypass it this way
- Now npcs will use towers to snipe from, or hide in funny places, so be ready for surprises
- Some descriptions were missing, so we added them back
- Some icons were added for the explosives (instead of the default grenade icon)
- Fixed the crash on death
- Fixed some dialogs and grammar errors
- Added some new tasks, you can get them from Voronin, the duty leader
- Siro tweaked the weapons especially for Priboi Story
- Fixed "double clicking" bug (binoculars, pda, knife, ...)
- Fixed some minor issues with tasks
- If you pick up a doc, it will vanish from your inventory, but you will get its contents in pda's encyclopedia, this will make finding the required texts faster, and the documents wont use up the needed place in your inventory
- Now documents will spawn only, if you get the proper task, so you wont find a document or more earlier than you should
- The tasks will have better descriptions, some of them will contain small maps too
- Fixed disappearing documents
- Plr weapons mod included
- darius6's weapon sounds
- New Recolored maps, pda map
- Tons of new quests
- Epic fights, coop fights, rescue fights and also breakout tasks
- Rostok Factory map will be added back to SP
- More faction wars, you can spoil your game and unlock a secret
- You can buy vehicles from traders, this means there wont be a single working vehicle in the zone. If you buy one, you need to take care of it, repair it if broken...
- Artifact merger recreated

new harmonica sounds and now the npcs use them too. i know it is not a new feature, since its in the game, but disabled... but now we re-enabled it, and found some authentic folklore stuff from ukraine and russia...

And an other problem: some players didnt understand the meaning of the mod, and at the beginning they started to kill the soldier friends... and looted them, and they gained ammo, weapons too easily... now it is changed. pls do not kill your teammates, or:

The second video shows you the old bolt hud. We always wanted to return the old hand movement, and anims, and hand positions too, so we asked a pro, Gosuke to help us. see the results...

Isn't there an idle animation when you aren't throwing and "reloading" for the bolt hands? It's creepy them staying completely still otherwise. But otherwise, very very nice work :)

When's the small patch out and when's the big one

there is idle animation, the hands are moving slowly, like in real life, before adjusting it, i tried it out with my hands :D

Hello. It's not yet ready, however i still dont know why ppl call priboi 2nd patch priboi story 2? :) well yep it will have tons of fixes, tons of features and a new area, so anyway we can call it 2.

Sounds good to me D, however you want to call it is fine with me, you are the boss!

I noticed you were also working on Oblivion Lost, is this a new endeavor or direction other than Priboi? Is this the same or addition to the Oblivion Lost mod that has been already released or something completely new?

pls read the "back to the roots" topic for full answer. :)

in short: we finish priboi project with the second patch, then we will move to the old stalker project. that will contain some old recreated maps, and many new areas (to be able to express our creativity much more)
this project is not an addon of oblivion lost mod. that mod is different one, and has different goals.

Dezodor, and developping team, I know it's to you to choose how the development goes, but I think it would be better to aim more for stability, than adding too much new features. There is much things that can be added, but most of them will have bugs issues.

I think that you should take more in account bugs and problems when thinking of adding new things in the mod. Even with the patches that have already been done, the game is very instable.

But there's the problem - I can't see almost all of these screenshots. For example, dx8/dx9 screenshots of Rostok factory simply redirect me to http://error.extra.hu/error/404/
