3rd of June:

- factory level issues
- deadcity models construction
- outskirts of deadcity screens at "what new levels would you like to see... " topic
- adding a better merc base to agroprom
- all old crashes fixed
- plr wpn mod 2.5 added
- xStream's ai pack added
- barin made a new scheme for salutating, so now the soldiers will do that if they see you
- last week we added a zombie quest video to youtube (sorry to forgot to mention it here)
- all existing new wpn models added to the mod (mg42, ppsh, p90, pkm, ak47, saiga12c, tt33, new lr300)
- new all.spawn was recreated, so no more "invalid vertex error"


so lets see it...

1. factory level issue:

we have over 4million faces on the map, and 1 sector is too weak for such detailed levels. just wanted to say, that the npp in shoc uses only 2million faces, and military warehouse 1.8million... so we need to reduce the level unfortunately, but still will be cool do not worry. also we are doing portals and sectors for the level, at least 3-4 more, since its needed for a successful compilation.

2. deacity models construction:

we recreated the most famous building from deadcity, but still 2 left. so we are working hard now, and i hope we can report with good news soon!

3. outskirts of deadcity

it's just a testing stuff, will be added to deadcity map later, or a separated suburban city style stuff, haven't decided it yet.

4. better merc base

we add patrols, new camp sites, and some blockpost objects so there will be a small fort

5. all annoying bugs are fixed

no comment thank god.

6. plr weapons mod 2.5

yep we found it better, and added it, tested it, fixed some issues, and i think its perfect. a bit hard, but challenging...

7. xStream's aipack

some of them were added, since its cool. i guess i don't need to say anything it's just good.

8. barin 's scheme

now the soldiers will salutate, when they see you, but it also depends on reputation... and if they are in combat, they won't stop to say hi Also the commanders won't salutate, since you're "just" a lieutenant...

9. zombie quest

there will be a quest in cordon... since we have old zombies why not use them for quests? you will need to find a military guy, who is missing, and well... check the video, that will explain everything:

10. new weapons

yep because they are popular... we added them to priboi. they look good, they shoot good, well i can't say more, since i am not a pro.

11. allspawn

new all.spawn for the new patch. this eliminates that annoying, but rare (many players never noticed it) crash at new game start.

we are working hard on it, every member has its own job in the city now. every house is ready, haron will finish the asphalt, then we can compile a better quality map with ai.

and these mercs in wild territory are 'Friends' only for you to make those screens? or what?

yep, its testing version only, would be hard to make screens of their posts if they are attacking us :D

Dezodor, should you be showing the military salutation? I'm eager to see it working, as it's a very intesresting feature. Beside, I should be asking for too much, but should you show others images of most of the different new features, without too much spoilers?

Because there is some levels that have a lot of images, and some other not, I think that everything is important, and should have the same attention.

About it: only military and duty salutate, since they are soldiers. Also if they are in combat mode, or using wpn, they wont put it away to salutate :D (i mean if the situation is hot, it would be a complete suicide to put away the gun and salute) Also they wont salute all the time. If you saw them, then until you change level and go back, they wont salute, since why should they? :) Also higher ranked soldiers, like Commanders wont salute.

Also we used several salute anims (2-3) so they are not the same, some soldiers will do it "unmindful" or sloppy? and others will do it "respectfully" as every soldier should do it :) But this is the zone, and it has different manners :D

Ok, I repeat myself - great! Nice video, GREAT BUILDING!!!! Where did you took those photos? I-net? Field research personally in the dead city? ) Great. It would be great map for MP also.

Dez, it seems that dez0wave is some serious candidate for a seed of some great games producer company... I think, that you guys, have all the necessary symptoms :D (Such as having good attitude to almost every suggestion and idea, unbounded creativity, time - nobody-knows-where-from, giving ppl what they really want and adding something stunning which they wouldn't ever think about and always thinking of every tiniest detail...)
