It looks very 2004. Like if it was released on time by better designers, this is what STALKER would have looked like. And we'd still be playing it after 5 years.

Have you made any progress on adding/restoring anomalies? Like poison gas, rusty hair, or burnt fuzz that actually hurts the player? Just wondering, thanks.

Well, so far three testers have been killed by bullets flying out of the screen.

How realistic do you want it?

wow, thats cool :D

I want it as realistic as the first stalker intended to be. Where you do not feel like you ar the most important. And that there would be no decisions made to fit the gameplay or in favour of the player cuz it is all happening in the real world zone. Well or in other word, as much realism as you can make :bear:

Looking really good as usual.

I was wondering, what lighting are these latest screenshots taken on, static or dynamic? Because they look very nice for static :D

Cheers

"lost alpha is based on static lightning to bring back the old feelings" ...

i usually post static light screens, i like it more than any other rendering modes. :)

Aye I know that LA will use improved static lighting to bring back the old style. Just wondered if the screenshots were took in dynamic to make them look nicer haha.

Thanks for the quick reply :)

I love the modmakers for making this a static lightning mod - most mods these days focus to much on graphics, and my computer has slight lag issues in static so I can't run Dynamic without watching a diashow - Which make this mod perfect :D

Would it surprise anyone if it turned out that game developers got free equipment and a cash backhander for making games that can only be played with the latest graphics cards, processors, etc.?

The game requires such and such, so gamers must go and buy the upgrades that will handle what the game uses. A fine way of pushing hardware sales.

Some would call it good business to do such a thing. Many of us would call it a conspiracy aimed at emptying our bank accounts into theirs.
