I want to report that the game is not compatible for windows 8.1 64 bit for that matter, i have tried several compatibility options but none worked, when i want to start the game an error prompt shows up : "Your video card doesn't meet game requirements. Try to lower game settings."

I have an NVIDIA Geforce GT 635 M i can run pretty much all 2013 latest games... So i dont think my GPU is the problem. Also i'm not the only one to have this problem -> http://www.gsc-game.com/index.php?t=community&s=forums&s_game_type=xr&sec_id=19&offset=240

im on 8.1 64 bit. Runs fine
I have intel HD 3000 though. The game probably doesnt recognize your gpu

Okay, finally i managed to run the game, Some directx files wasnt properly installed the first time.

Got this one going from darkscape north to dark valley after getting knocked out by sin.

I picked up an "abakan" (with pso) and an "lr300" I had stashed in a backpack in the bus stop. After heading further north, got in my car from the previous mission and headed north. hit the level change in the car, and crashed on loading with this error....

seems to have broken that particular autosave aswell as now I cannot load it.

After trying a previous save and trying to exit the area, with the default equipment that the SIN leader leaves you with, I am still getting the same error. =(

***RE-EDIT***FIX FOR NOW***
Picked up everything as I did the first time I encountered the bug, only this time instead of traveling north to dark valley, went south to CORDON and it has allowed me to progress without the previous CTD.

****RE-RE-EDIT**** NOT A FIX ****
I cannot return to "Dark Dolina" for the mission aka Dark Valley. No matter where I try to enter it from it crashes with that same crash posted above...

Crux dixit: fix noted and added to list.

Are you sure that tushkano crash is caused by pathfinding issue? The only time tushkano crashes the game for me is when they attack me. I made it so they have 0 attack range so they don't attack anymore, and they no longer crash the game for me.

Upgrade/repair related:

- AK 74/2 can be upgraded with scope rail, but can fit a scope anyway, making the upgrade useless.

- AK 74/1 has a scope rail upgrade, but can never be fitted with a scope; also useless upgrade.

- Many upgrade modifier descriptions missing, for example bottom right upgrade on stalker suit.

EDIT: additionally, many upgrade descriptions are confusing: recoil upgrades are sometimes described as "-x% recoil" in green letters, while saying "+x% recoil" in red letters on other guns, which doesn't even make sense.

its just an idea and easy could be done by any1 but why not to add smoke granade from mp to local vendors is harmfull and keeps crowd control in some situations neutrals not geting hostile after throw it just running from place useful if you ask me when npc block your way or something like that but just saying

This doesn't belong in a bug report forum, but it's actually an excellent point.

My savegame was essentially destroyed today because one of the duty NPCs permanently blocks the only door to the bar. The only way back into the bar would be chugging a few grenades through the narrow opening and butchering the whole duty faction... which probably would halt progress in the story at this point.

that was one of the points for that i remember adding this to vendors back in times of soc cuz stalkers was sometimes pain in ass to move but its just an idea and was posted here onyly cuz devs will read this tread more likely than other ;p

Which NPC has this problem? The tag points at someone on the Duty checkpoint in Garbage, but who?

After getting the "wire" for the scientist. Instant CTD after quest complete.

I'm also using a community fix but the issue is still not resolved

"Yantar Dialogue Fix" DOES NOT FIX THE ISSUE

I facepalmed SO HARD when I saw that there IS a checkbox that toggles this on the vanilla Options menu... I felt like a total MORON, having complained about this to dez. Look around, it's put together next to other interface options (e.g., target identification, dot crosshairs, etc.)


Nothing to feel dumb about. It's listed as "Actor shadow" when the option is on.
