One handed Kriss Super V

Hi Guys, Priboi story is a FANTASTIC mod, thanks. A request please:

Could you please mod the Kriss Super V to be closer in line with it's specs:

30 round magazine
Single hand operation (It actually says so in the description)

Being able to fit a silencer to it would also be great.

(I would have modded it myself but I seem to be struggeling with the Single hand and Silencer mods.)

As to single hand use of the Kriss....

hand_dependence = 1

That is from the Kriss ltx file in PS 1.1 - I think that means it already is a single hand weapon.

The silencer is a bit more complex.

The 'silencer_status' would need to be '2' I think. But you'd also have to fill in all the other blanks to tell the game where to put it, how to display it, etc.

The mag capacity is easy, though.

ammo_mag_size = 13

Change the number to whatever you like. Make it 500 and you'll have a 500 round mag.

Thanks for the response :) I like the "rather teach a man to catch a fish" approach. (To your benefit as well since I'll do all the work, test the mod and make it available for distribution to those that want it.)

Clip size is a breeze (I actually had it sorted already before I posted the question.)

The other 2 are a bit more complex.

My first goal is to mod the Kriss so that it actually fits in your 1st weapon (pistol) slot, with a slight decrease in handling to compensate for the fact that you are using it single handed.

I did this previously for the MP5. I created a unique weapon however and used slot = 1
animation_slot = 1

Doing this for the Kriss in it's own file results in a crash however. (Perhaps it's too big? I know trying to have a sniper rifle in that slot for example also causes a crash.) I would think it should be small enough though.

I also tried populating the Silencer fields using a combination of the MP5 and modified Kriss data, but it also resulted in a game crash every time I tried loading it. I may have made a silly mistake somewhere, but I did not see any.

Perhaps I should just take the plunge and try defining a custom weapon (But I was sort of hoping to get away with less effort ;-)

Sorry for my short response. It is a good point actually, and one I should have paid closer attention to.

I'm still finding that the game crashes every time I try to mod the file for a silencer or 1 hand pistol slot. :-( I don't know what I'm missing.

Have you tried comparing the Kriss file with the file of another weapon that should really (vanilla) be a single hand weapon?

Could give you some clues as to what you're missing.
