Soundtrack Dirge for the planet piano version

Postby Thrawn » Mon Jun 08, 2009 4:57 am

i downloaded the soundtrack for stalker from gsc-game.com

i like the dirge for the planet song, but i remember hearing a piano version of it in the game at bar level.

anybody know where to find this song in the files? or oninternet?

i was google for it but all i could find was links to some japanese video game sound collection websites, but i dont speak japanese or chinese or whatever it is.

if you heard it in game, then it must be there... but game musics are low quality (mono and 96kbps vbr or less)

i dont recall that song right now, but i dont think it was the same track, otherwise it would appear on stalker ost :)

In SHOC? The only music in the Bar is Addaraya-Gurza Dreaming, and, I don't know about any pianos in it. If you want, I can give you the MP3

Part of 'Dirge' is played over the loudspeaker at the bar in vanilla.

And it is a piano and voice arrangement, not the full rock band version you can find and download on the net.

I'm pretty sure that it is a version made only for inclusion in the game. So the only obtainable copies will be those 'low quality' ones Dez mentioned.

I suppose you could try to get in touch with Firelake themselves. They're bound to have retained copies of all recordings. And as they're not yet globe-trotting stadium-fillers they may still be approachable.

.
Few know, and I'm not telling.
