Spawner mod

Hi, first, I want to thank you. Finally, the game I was waiting for is here. Lost Alpha is brilliant.

And now, my question: How do I make a spawner mod for LA? I like the game, but I played all of stalker games a lot and...well...I kind of tired and bored making money in stalkers - like too much walking, if you know what I mean. So I wanted to make a spawner mod like this:

(I prefer the CoP method). But how do I make such a mod? Or, how do I port such a mod from different game?


And for my second question: What does the option "Options LA" in game menu does? I cannot click it, it does not respond.

The button doesn't work yet and nobody knows what it does. A portal to another universe maybe

I did some research and found game files related to spawn menu. But I don't know, how to activate this menu. Will the devs tell us ho to bring up the spawn menu? Maybe some kind of debug mode, or ...?

The LA options button is disabled in the code (commented out) and it is exactly for the debug mode operations.

I have enabled it for me in the code and it contains the spawn menu and some other debug options

You really want to cheat that badly? Meh...

Check if there's a debug.ltx in the config/lost_alpha dir and enable the debug menu. Then try V or F1-3 in the main menu after you load a save.

Still don't have the release copy of LA, so dunno if that'll work :rolleyes: :axe:

Finally got it! The debug menu is hidden in ui_main.script.

As I promised, here is the file with enabled spawn&debug options. It does not enable the "Options LA" in main menu during game. It enables hidden debug options.

How to use install & use it:

installation: put the file in /gamedata/scripts and overwrite the original file.

using: Start a game, when loaded, hit ESC and in main menu hit F2 for debug tools and F3 for spawn tools.


This spawn menu is cheat. But when you want to make nice screenshots, finding the gear is frustrating...

Well, I saw a teleporter platform in X18 underground, but once it smashed a guy who entered, I was not so keen to test it :D
